Obscured Sound
Producer
Obscured Sound is an urban sound archive and interactive installation by artist Kalun Ho, supported by the Hong Kong Arts Development Council’s 2024/25 Young Arts Tech Talents Residency Scheme. Exhibited at AIRSIDE from 11 to 21 April 2026, the project focuses on the subtle soundscape of East Kowloon, inviting audiences to explore the city through immersive spatial audio experiences. By encouraging listening as a means to reveal the hidden socio-cultural layers woven into everyday life, the artwork aims to offer a fresh perspective on the city beyond the visual.
As the producer, I oversaw the project end-to-end from planning to execution, bridging communication between the artist and various parties, including creative teams, production vendors, HKADC, and government departments, to bring the exhibition to life. Being part of the project has been an invaluable opportunity to further explore the intersection of art, culture, and creative production, and I am deeply grateful to have contributed to this inspiring project.
